In 2014, FRIENDS OF SARAH'S  visited Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and served  for two months on  A SHORT TERM MISSION TEAM. THESE TWO both grew a passion for the country of zimbabwe and WANTED TO CONTINUE TO SERVE ON SHORT TERM TRIPS. When they began looking for opportunities to return, no teams were TRAVELING to Zimbabwe on dates that did not conflict with their calendars. Though this would stump most, THE TWO decided to plan their own trip through the contacts they had. The Lord pieced together every detail and they returned to Zimbabwe to serve in  the ministries they were introduced to through theIR FIRST TRIP and also took along ANOTHER FRIEND to join ministry in Zimbabwe. 

the following year, the three felt called to return and expand. they again planned their own trip and had each of their local churches in the United States send them. This is where myself, Sarah M., AND TWO OTHERS JOINED THE TEAM IN DECEMBER OF 2016. 

This unlikely group of friends outside of missions formed and our hearts and passions grew more and more towards ministry in Zimbabwe. 

THROUGH theSE short TERM TRIPS mentioned above and several more after these, I (SARAH M.), began to feel A calling UPON MY Life to move to zimbabwe.  WHEN SAYING YES TO THE CALL, THE LORD THRew ALL MY PLANS OFF COURSE BY BLESSING ME WITH MEETING MY, NOW HUSBAND, CASPER MAPURISA. WE MARRIED IN MAY OF 2019, just two weeks after my official move, AND WE NOW SERVE IN ZIMBABWE, SENT BY LOOKOUT VALLEY BAPTIST CHURCH UNDER OUR US REGISTERED NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, HOPE DWELLS ZIMBABWE (501C-3). 

The most important part of what we do, is share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe that God himself, became a man and lived a perfect life in a sinful world so that He could take the punishment we all deserve, setting us free from the slavery of sin. We encourage, teach, AND DISCIPLE others to accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior, then live to glorify Him.
